Whatever, Martha! Is Martha Stewart’s Daughter Roasting Her mOm

Martha Stewart’s daughter, Alexis Stewart, and friend Jennifer Koppelman Hutt are my new favorite women to watch on television. HANDS DOWN. I just cannot believe it’s taken me so long to find them.

I randomly happened upon Whatever, Martha! on FLN a couple of nights ago {as usual, as I was trying to get some zzz’s} and DVR’d it to save for a better date where I could give them my full attention. Last night was finally that date {after Rock of Love Bus, …so sad Ashley is gone} and I was literally laughing out loud!

These two women sit fashionably {Alexis} and barefoot {Jennifer} on a couch and a chair in an adorably decorated set room and watch old episodes of Martha and basically just make fun of her for a good 20 minutes or so …and occasionally they try to recreate one of her crafty suggestions, failing miserably or just barely pulling it off.

It’s BRILLIANT!

I know everyone loves Martha, but to be honest …watching her is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Yes, she’s a pro at what she does blah, blah, blah but THAT VOICE!! That monotonous low voice drives me up a wall! ..and come on, I like a nice organized closet too but I’m not orgasming over it. The only thing Martha and I have in common is our love for French Bulldogs.

{…okay fine, I’m fairly crafty too} but still . . .

It’s just so refreshing to watch these two women, especially Alexis, talk about how everything isn’t and wasn’t perfect all the time at the Stewart Manor as one may gather from watching Martha whittle away in her workshop for hours on end.

All Martha bashing aside, I’m betting this show was entirely her idea …because how else was she going to target and capture my niche market otherwise?
