DIY Christmas Tree Print

I happen to browse Joss & Main every single day, and in a recent sale, I spied this cute Rustic Christmas Tree Print for $80 and Rouge Trees Canvas Print for $73 and remembered the pre-stretched burlap canvases I saw at my local craft store the last time I was there and thought it would really be a cute and simple DIY if you have just a little patience.

Depending on the size/cost of your burlap canvas {unless you can stretch your own!} I think you can make this art print for under $15, especially if you already have the paint and brushes, so I say DIY!

Here’s What You’ll Need…

Steps…

1. With a ruler, evenly measure and mark at least 25 days. You can choose to create the entire month of 31 days or use it as an advent calendar of sorts and stop on Christmas day.

2. Paint your trees in a four step process: create 3 overlapping messy triangles from small to large and a small rectangle base at the bottom.

3. Let dry.

What’s really cute is the messiness of this print, but the symmetry makes it work. Paint the Christmas Day tree in an alternate color like green or red or any color you like!
