my style Spring 2012 Outfits Style wearing my DIYs

the lovetrain rides from coast to coast

What I’m Wearing
* Addison crochet lace dress c/o Shopbop. I’m not super familiar with this brand but Addison has a ton of cute styles!!
* Vintage Matisse turquoise necklace worn upside down
* DIY Tassel earrings
* DVF round sunglasses
* YSL ankle strap wood platforms

* Hair: hot rolled

* Title: lyrics from Tears for Fears “Sowing the Seeds of Love”

I love this dress. I’m wearing it really simply here but it’s quite versatile… and crocheted dresses always seem to come back in style. With a 70’s Bohemian vibe, they’re classics now. I love the length of this one and the jagged hem. It comes with a slip, which I’m not actually fond of. I’ll wear a nude slip next time that stays put. This one, as you can see rides up under my arms and chest, which I don’t like. But “freebies” with garments, like belts, and slips, are never made very well. So… next time.

I turned in my rewrite/edited manuscript last night and oh the sense of freedom I have is amazing. I’ll still be working the rest of the month on photography and captions, tips and quotes but overall, I’m happy that this round is done! Since this is my first book, I’m not exactly sure how many more rounds there will be but the majority of the writing is done and I’m utterly excited to switch my focus back HERE for a while… and on relaxing a little in the warm Summer sun, of course.
