I’ve been a fan of controversial artist Spencer Tunick since watching a documentary in or around 2001-02 on HBO titled Naked States. And promptly after viewing it, I went online, found and chose my favorite images and printed them on 8×10 photo paper and framed them. They still reside in our downstairs bathroom …and I love them. {the black and white one above and this one} I wonder if his actual c-prints are affordable? I doubt it.

A recent comment from Random Musings of My Life on the Good for Her ~ Jennifer Hawkins post, jogged my memory of his ingenious photographs of hundreds, if not thousands of ordinary people who stripped down to their birthday suits and weathered the elements {often illegally} in order for Tunick to realize his artistic vision.

I love that his images sort of remove all sexuality of the naked body and seem to merge humanity into one equal being often becoming part of the landscape.

His latest documentary Naked World, a one-year trek to all seven continents to take photographs of naked people, individually and in groups is available now …and I think I may just have to.
