art Master Bedroom new house photography

Slim Aarons Photography

Currently pondering art to decorate our master bedroom walls with, my first thought {and choice} are a few framed prints by a photographer who made his career out of what he called “photographing attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places”Slim Aarons.

A few years ago, in a post titled Slim Aaarons Captures My Dream Life I mentioned not only my love for his work but how I hoped my future house had a pool so I could throw fabulous parties that captured the feeling of one of them. Well, it’s not exactly summer yet, but it is the future and I am in a house with a pool …and I quite possibly would have to throw a vintage themed party to recreate his look but in the meantime, I will ponder which of his masterpieces will make it onto our bedroom walls.

I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped straight to my desk with a loud “thud” when I spotted this image of Oscar de la Renta relaxing in his living room because it’s the exact decor I’m going for in our bedroom {but with a tad more sexy and updated feel} …and I never seemed to notice this photo until now. Loves.

There are just so many amazing photos that I could get lost staring into, dreaming about, it’s hard to choose just two, really …I’ll have to grab a couple of his coffee table books as well. It’s all just too fabulous not to.
