Rocking The Red Pump ~ To Raise Awareness

DSC_0151

As a girlie alternative to “The Red Tie Project” The Red Pump Project™ raises awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls. Their mission is to promote HIV prevention through education, and open dialogue about the issues that surround sexual and reproductive health.

In observance of this day {March 10th}, The Red Pump Project™ is asking bloggers to participate in the third annual “Rock the Red Pump™” campaign: 500 in 50. Last year, 250 bloggers took to Twitter, Facebook, and personal blogs to help “Rock the Red Pump” and this year, they’re asking bloggers to do it again! They have a goal of getting 500 blogs in now less than 50 days to “rock”.

“The concept is simple: Rock the Red Pump on your blog to represent the strength and courage of women fighting HIV/AIDS or affected by the disease both directly and indirectly. We ask that on that day (March 10th), you embed the Red Pump Widget within your post with a short snippet of its significance, or you can rock the widget on your sidebar.”

So, on March 10th I pledge to Rock these fabulous red pumps for women’s AIDS awareness. Will you rock your red pumps too?
