Plant These to Help Save The Bees

Plant These to Help Save the Bees

I just LOVE this Plant These to Help Save The Bees Illustration by Hannah Rosengren, which you can also buy in her Etsy shop, among others… It’s simple and to the point, super cute and really helpful too!

Since the late 1990s, beekeepers around the world have observed the mysterious and sudden disappearance of bees, and report unusually high rates of decline in honeybee colonies. Watch The Vanishing of Bees documentary for a more in-depth look at this horrible problem that affects us all.

Bee-killing pesticides in particular pose the most direct risk to pollinators. The main reasons for global bee-decline are linked to industrial agriculture, parasites/pathogens and climate change. The loss of biodiversity due to monocultures and the wide-spread use of bee-killing pesticides are particular threats for honeybees and wild pollinators.

RIGHT NOW You can go to SOS-BEES.org, scroll to the bottom and sign the petition to Help save the bees by banning bee-killing pesticides and chemical-intensive industrial agriculture and promoting ecological farming. The more people who sign, the more we can influence the governments and companies who can act to save the bees.
