Nails | Black & Rose Gold Manicure Inspired by The Nike+ Fuelband SE

I bought the husband the Nike+ Fuelband for Christmas and two days later had to buy one for myself because it was so cool and he was having so much fun with it. I got the limited edition Fuelband with the rose gold clasp and LOVE IT… but I think it’s sold out now :(.

Anyway, I’ve been wearing it non-stop and it inspired this manicure, which is really easy and actually has a fun deco feel to it as well.

Here’s What I Used…

* Sonia Kashuk “Starry Night” {up close you can see a bit of sparkle, but not from far away}
* Sephora by OPI “Chestnuts About You”
* Seche Vite top coat {not shown}

Here’s How I Did It…

* Give yourself a simple black manicure with two coats of polish & let dry.

* Using your metallic polish, wipe off the excess, then carefully swipe on the color with a sideways swoop {it’s the easiest} starting a little past center and brushing to one edge, but leaving the top black.

And… Voila!

The Fuelband is fun for so many reasons, but mostly it has really brought awareness to not only how inactive I was {though I thought otherwise} but also making sure I’m staying a little more active throughout my days. The five minute hour wins motivate me to get up from working at my desk and move, thus my DANCE BREAK tweets, wherein I am actually dancing or at least moving for 5mins… It’s a great motivator and the app is super easy to use & full of fun detailed info. {photo below is from Nike.com}
