My New Marc Jacobs Bag…

Marc Jacobs Bag classic camel bag

When the first check for my book arrived, the husband hinted that I should reward myself for all my hard work and buy something with it. This was probably not the smartest thing the husband could have said at that particular moment because up until that point, I had planned on heading straight to the bank with it. But the damage had been done and I decided to splurge big time on a Chloe bag I’d been dying for. And upon its arrival, I wasn’t impressed {and it was GINORMOUS}, so I sent it back. I may have had a little buyer’s remorse as well because $1800 for a bag is quite a ridiculous notion. Come to think of it, I do have handbags of the same value that were gifts which somehow makes the idea seem less ridiculous{?}.

While out shopping with my mom on Friday, exchanging Christmas gifts & spending gift cards, I decided it couldn’t hurt to look around because really, I still hadn’t gotten my “reward” {which is also a ridiculous notion because having a book published is award enough}. I found this Marc Jacobs “Classic” bag in camel {which I actually can’t find color-wise online} and somehow the $1195 price tag seemed nothing in comparison to the $1800… I know. Ridiculous. But wow. This bag is gorgeous. And will be gorgeous in 20 years as well… provided we are all still on this planet and still wearing clothes, that is.
