LeRoy life & family my birthday vintage maegan

It’s my Birthday… again.

Judging by the 2 candles on the cake, I’d say this was my second birthday, 1978

Today is my 36th birthday. Which means, I am now closer to 40 than I am to 30, and nowhere near 2 – – and that is a bit surreal. I often hear people say I don’t feel {insert age here} and I can’t honestly say I do either… but mostly because, I have no idea exactly how being {insert age here} feels. I suppose I will tell you next year. My 30’s have been pretty spectacular in general though… my favorite decade yet. I can say that since I was a child, I have always looked forward to being an adult. In fact, I couldn’t wait for the life I’m living now. And while it does look a little differently than I thought it would without children of my own running around, it’s pretty darn fantastic and I wouldn’t change a single thing.

My mom saved a few “choice” outfits from my childhood and returned them to me when she handed down the antique cedar chest that resides in our master bedroom at the moment, still full of my childhood outfits… this is one of them. I’m guessing she saved it because it was from Saks… or maybe just because she liked it. I was a bit shocked that the elastic is still fully intact in both the skirt and the top. Now that’s quality 😉

So of course, LeRoy was a doll and modeled it for me…

Happy Friday Lovecats!

…and happy June as well.
