If These Photographs Don’t Have Americana Written All Over Them, Then I Don’t Know What Does…

Glamour July 1942 American Flags by Roger Kahan

Tuesday, November 6, 2012 is election day and it’s got me thinking in red, white, and blue and everything Americana! President Obama is the first president I ever voted for… and if I were alive in the 60’s I would have voted for Kennedy as well. These are the only two men who, in my very humble opinion, have been worthy of the title. Well, besides Lincoln and Clinton and Washington maybe, and of course President Polk {because he is an ancestor of mine ~~ my dad’s mom’s maiden name was Polk}. I still absolutely adore President Obama and in fact can’t help but smile when I see him… and I will absolutely be voting for him in this election too. It doesn’t mean we can’t be friends if you don’t vote for him, but I will definitely be giving you the side eye 😉

In completely unrelated but somehow relevant news, this month Art.com’s Pinterest followers will have a chance to win a $500 Art.com shopping spree! How amazing is that? October will be over before we know it so go now and follow Art.com’s Pinterest Boards so you don’t miss your chance to win.

In the mean time, here are some of my FAVORITE Americana photographs and prints all available at the Art.com Americana Gallery {links below each work}

Aren’t they all just so fabulous? Which is your favorite?

I love this pretty little video depicting Art.com’s custom frame shop in Ohio… and I love that they’re not only handcrafted in America but how they cut each frame individually per order, building each frame one at a time. Workmanship is underrated these days.
