Get Your Seed Beads On

Tommy Ton ~ Style.com

In the 90’s we all wore short single strands of seed bead necklaces with our school uniforms, particularly in Rasta colors or multi-colored hues, but I recall having a black and white one as well. When you wear a uniform to school, you tend to try to accessorize in ways that make you stand out as an individual, even if all your friends are wearing the same exact ones 😉 and even if it warrants you a detention. I’m sure I made all of my necklaces because seed beads are fun and easy like that, I was broke, and you know I’ll make anything I can.

While we generally tend to see Native American seed bead patterns year round as a style choice and pop up at outdoor music festivals and the like, I’m seeing new colorful designs spread out over all categories of style at the moment and have chosen a few images that really stand out over the rest. While this may be a great DIY inspiration post, oftentimes seed bead accessories are on the more affordable side, depending on where you go to find them. {Find my hanging seed bead hair clip DIY here}
