DIY Looping Circles Hair Accessories, Belt, Necklace & More

I love when something can be used in so many ways, for so many purposes, and not just as fashion, but as decor as well. Scroll to the end to see how I’ve used and worn this fun and versatile {and sparkly} accessory. I mean, think of all the uses! How would you use/wear it?

Here’s What You’ll Need…

DIY materials

* Circular loop beads, oval will work too. A wood or solid version vs sparkly crystals, would be gorgeous and versatile as well. I used Blue Acrylic Large Loop beads by Halcraft I found at Michaels
* Braided Elastic {1/8″ or larger… as long as it fits through your circles}
* Grosgrain ribbon… I used 5/8″ Navy
* Scissors, Needle, Thread, Lighter

Here’s How I Did It…

* Cut elastic strips about an inch and a half long {I used 5 beads & 4 strips of elastic}

* Singe the ends with a lighter {or candle}

* Loop your elastic between two circles…

* And hand-stitch together.

* The longer the elastic strips, the more stretch {and space between} each bead. I gave mine enough give to wear on my head and my waist but not enough so that there’s a gaping space in between.

* Thread your ribbon through the front of the first bead, then through the back of the last bead…

* And create a pulley system of sorts. Tie the two ends together for longer or shorter wear. You may also choose to cut two long ribbon pieces and simply tie them in knots around each of the last beads, or even slip-knot them. There are many options, I like the one I’ve show here for the most variety in wearing options.

* Cut the ends of your ribbon {learn how here} and singe the edges to prevent fraying.

Voila… Voila!
