DIY Daisy Nail Art Tutorial on a Classic Black Manicure

DIY Daisy Nail Art on black manicure, cute 90s nail art ideas, floral nail art

Keeping in line with my ’90s theme as of late, and inspired by the fun floaty floral prints of the decade {and Drew Barrymore, of course} I created these cute daisy nails on a black background… and I’m in love. However, I’m guessing if you were around in the ’60s, it would also represent that era as well.

I’m sure there are nail art stickers you can find with a similar pattern, but I still find it fun to create them myself. And you should too {because they are so cute!} if you have the time, of course. These took me about 30 minutes to complete.

Here’s What I Used…

* Black base
* Yellow polish pen – this is a fun & affordable nail art polish/pen set
* White polish pen
* Seche Vite top coat

If you don’t have polish pens, using a dotting nail art tool and a fine brush with work just as well, it may simply take a little longer.

Here’s How I Did It…

1. Give yourself a nice gloss black manicure — two coats and let dry
2. Dot on your yellow centers and let dry
3. Sweep on your white petals {this took some patience, I must admit – and one hand turned out better than the other. But from far away, it’s just cute regardless how perfect it is ;} – you may also choose to dot on your white flower petals, as it may be a little easier.
4. Touch up with a black to fix any mistakes you made

And… Voila!

Have Fun!
