Beige Meets Black & Polka Dots…

What I’m Wearing…

* Black open trapeze dress… found at Forever 21 years ago
* Beige kimono jacket with black polka dots c/o Line and Dot
* Gold pendant necklace, oval hoop earrings, gold chain bracelets
* Tom Ford sunglasses… I honestly can’t believe that over 2 years later, these are still my favorite sunglasses
* Pour la Victoire cut out heels… also a few years old
* Phillip Lim bag

I wore this Saturday afternoon/evening to my Grandpa’s memorial… or Celebration of Life rather, which was really wonderful, though unfortunately sad. My family did such a nice job setting up his drums, displaying photos and running videos on various monitors around the house and yard. It was beautiful. I wish my grandpa was there to see it. He would have been so happy.

This dress is so open and airy, it’s really comfortable to wear, though from the side I may appear to be hiding a baby bump in it {but you know better ;} It’s one of those easy dresses you can dress up or down and I love having a few on hand for occasions where I don’t want to be too dressed up but don’t want to be completely casual either. I think this was a nice mix of the two.

Though it’s still Summer and still hot, I’m finding that I’m already drawn to warmer tones and hues when I’m getting dressed. In fact, I think my last outfit post was made up of the exact same color scheme! Sometimes you just can’t help it I suppose.

Our weekend was so insanely busy, I’m actually really happy the week has begun because I have a teensy bit of free/relax time ahead of me. Isn’t that funny? I actually look forward to Monday to be able to relax? Oh the irony.

Happy Monday!
