Artist Feature // Living Vicariously Through Gray Malin’s Beaches

In this last week of summer, which is already pretty chilly, but beautiful, I can’t help but look back on this summer and wonder where it went. I’d argue that it never really came, but logically and realistically, I know that can’t be true. It’s just that it came and went without much fanfare and I’ve been caught up in so much life that I didn’t get a chance to really enjoy it. That’s the thing about seasons really, you have to cherish the moments because they pass much quicker than you realize. It’ll be snowing before I know it and Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas will pass as well and then another year will begin and I’ll wonder where that time all went as well.

While on a month-long journey discovering famous Italian beaches, Gray Malin captured these iconic moments that were inspired by the Italian Riviera during the 1950s-60s… and I’m going to have to live vicariously through them to get my summer fix.

All is not lost, it may get warm again before the full chill sets in, but these images shall be a reminder to be in the moment and pay attention to life instead of getting caught up in it. Sometimes I’m able to and sometimes I’m not. I’m sure it’s the same with most of you as well… Are you looking forward to the seasons to come?
